a guide to my piercings
1: I pierced both these inner lobe piercings most recently because there was so much space. I plan on switching the top one out as soon as it’s fully healed.
2: This is my original, first lobe piercing. I started stretching it a few months ago and it’s currently at a 6g. My plan is to stretch to 2g.
3: These three are technically still part of the lobe, so they all healed quick and easy. These were also pierced by myself in one go many years ago.
4: My conch was a painful piercing to heal. I love it, but I still don’t have the other side done because of how much it sucked. I went to a piercer for this one.
5: My favorite one so far. I don’t see this piercing super often, which is unfortunate because it’s super cool. I did this one myself a few months ago and they healed great. I usually keep a bar with spikes in it but one of my spiked recently fell out and disappeared 😔

In the world of body modification, piercings are a popular way to express individuality and style. Understanding the healing process of different types of piercings is essential for anyone considering them. Lobe piercings, which are often the first choice for many, generally heal quickly and are easier to manage. Stretching piercings, like moving from 6g to 2g, requires patience and proper aftercare to avoid complications. More intricate piercings, such as conch piercings, may take longer to heal and involve more discomfort. Following professional advice during the healing phase is crucial. Many enthusiasts opt for self-piercing, but it's vital to research proper techniques to minimize risks. Popular communities online, particularly on forums and social media platforms like Instagram or TikTok, provide valuable insights and support for pierced individuals. Additionally, keeping abreast of the latest trends in jewelry can inspire your piercing choices. Whether you prefer edgy spikes or simple studs, there's a style that reflects your personality. Remember to maintain hygiene and regularly cleanse your piercings to promote healing and prevent infections. Lastly, engaging with others who share a passion for piercings can lead to great tips and new friendships—don't hesitate to ask for advice or share your experiences in various online communities!
