เมื่อตอนที่ได้ไปเยี่ยมชมทุ่งหญ้ากว้างๆ ในชนบท ผมได้เห็นดอกบานไม่รู้โรยป่าค่อยๆ เบ่งบานอยู่ข้างทาง ถึงจะเป็นดอกไม้เล็กๆ แต่กลับมีเสน่ห์มากกว่าดอกไม้ราคาแพงหลายเท่า ความสวยงามของมันไม่ได้มาจากการได้รับการปลูกหรือดูแลพิเศษใดๆ แต่คือการที่มันสามารถเจริญเติบโตได้ด้วยตัวเอง ท่ามกลางความแห้งแล้งและแดดร้อนจัด นี่ทำให้ผมนึกถึงคำสอนของคนเฒ่าคนแก่ในหมู่บ้านที่เคยเล่าให้ฟังว่า "ชีวิตก็เหมือนดอกบานไม่รู้โรย" ด้วยความที่ดอกไม้ชนิดนี้เติบโตได้เองตามธรรมชาติ ในช่วงเช้าขณะที่แสงแดดแรกฉายลงมา มันจะสะท้อนสีขาวนวลอ่อนๆ งดงามราวกับแสงสว่างแห่งความหวัง ผมรู้สึกได้ว่าความสุขที่แท้จริงของชีวิตไม่ได้อยู่ที่ความโดดเด่นหรือสมบูรณ์แบบที่สุด แต่เป็นการที่เราสามารถใช้ชีวิตของตัวเองได้อย่างเต็มที่ แม้จะเป็นไปอย่างเรียบง่ายและไม่ยิ่งใหญ่ก็ตาม การได้มองเห็นดอกบานไม่รู้โรยบ่าเติบโตท่ามกลางธรรมชาติเช่นนี้ ทำให้ผมมีแรงบันดาลใจที่จะสู้ต่อไปในวันที่เหนื่อยล้า แม้ว่าจะไม่มีใครคอยสนับสนุนหรือช่วยเหลือก็ตาม ถ้าเรายังใจแข็งแรงและตั้งใจทำดีที่สุด ก็สามารถเปลี่ยนทุกความยากลำบากให้กลายเป็นความงดงามในชีวิตได้เหมือนดอกไม้เหล่านี้จริงๆ
