“Does it make you think of Her?
The melody floats, sweet and kind, Softly kissing thoughts that bind.
For a moment, I thought it was meant for me,
A whisper of hope, a reverie.
"Does it make you think of her?" I say, Half wishing you'd look the other way.
Part of me craves for you to deny, Yet part of me knows why I don't try.
I wish I didn't need to know, For once, blind to where you'd go.
But answers call, and silence stings-Knowing's a curse that knowing brings.
In some other world, perhaps you'd stay, And say it's me you think of today.
Yet daydreams fade; I wake to see, This isn't the world where you think of me.
"Does it make you think of her?".
In another world you would've said "no, it makes me think of you",
but no matter how much my mind yearned and my heart pleaded I knew it wasn't true”
