BEGINNER WITCH <3

I like just started wanting to become a witch and I've been looking up things but I can never seem to find reliable sources (I don't trust the good ol Wikipedia that much) and I could really use some help🙏 I also can't afford that many things as I'm a BROKE teen😞 so anything that doesn't cost too much would also be great to know! #i practice witchcraft #witchcraft🔮 #beginnerwitch

... Read moreStarting out as a beginner witch can feel super overwhelming, right? When I first felt drawn to witchcraft, I was just like you – scouring the internet, feeling confused by all the conflicting information, and definitely worried about how I’d afford any of it as a broke teen! It felt impossible to find truly reliable websites and practical tips without spending a fortune. But don't worry, I've learned a ton since then, and I'm so excited to share some of my go-to resources and budget-friendly beginner witch tips that have truly helped me on my journey. First things first: reliable sources are key. Forget quick TikTok spells for a minute and dive into some foundational reading. I found that my local library became my best friend! You can often borrow books on witchcraft, paganism, and various spiritual traditions for free. Look for authors like Scott Cunningham, whose books on natural magic are incredibly gentle and accessible for beginners and focus on working with what you have. Another great approach is exploring academic resources on folklore and mythology, which can give you a deeper understanding of historical magical practices without the New Age fluff. Online, I’ve learned to be really discerning. Instead of just any blog, I look for established communities or websites from reputable authors and practitioners who cite their sources or have years of experience. You’ll want to cross-reference information – if multiple, trusted sources say the same thing, you're probably on the right track! Forums and online groups can be amazing for tips and support, but always engage critically and trust your intuition. Now, about that budget-friendly witchcraft – it's totally achievable! You absolutely don't need to buy expensive tools or fancy ingredients to start. My biggest tip for a beginner witch is to look to nature and your own home. Altar Tools: Instead of buying a costly chalice, use a favorite mug. A simple bowl from your kitchen can be your cauldron. A smooth stone or a fallen branch from your yard can serve as your wand. Herbs: Your kitchen spice rack is a treasure trove! Rosemary is a powerful all-purpose herb, basil is great for prosperity, and thyme for courage. If you have a garden, grow your own! Foraging for wild plants (responsibly and safely, always identify correctly!) can also be a wonderful way to connect with nature and gather free ingredients. Crystals: You don't need huge, expensive crystals. Small tumbled stones like clear quartz or amethyst are often inexpensive and powerful. Even beautiful rocks you find on a walk can hold significant energy for you. Spells & Rituals: The most potent magic comes from intention and visualization, which cost absolutely nothing! Journaling your intentions, meditating, and creating affirmations are incredibly powerful practices. Simple rituals like lighting a candle (even a plain white one!), focusing your energy, and stating your purpose aloud can be highly effective. Learning: Beyond library books, many experienced witches share free content on YouTube, podcasts, and blogs. Just remember to use that critical thinking you developed when vetting sources! My biggest piece of advice for any beginner witch is to start small, stay curious, and trust your intuition. Don't feel pressured to pick a specific path immediately. Explore different traditions, experiment with simple practices, and see what resonates with you. Your journey is unique, and the most powerful magic is the one you create for yourself. Happy spellcasting, and remember, magic is all around you, waiting to be discovered!

Scott Cunninghams books are usually decent starter books. (z-library has the ability to get ebooks free) check your local library and see about having Libby with the library too for ebooks I use crystalwellness.com.au for information on crystals (can find the info in the products), as well as A Guide to Crystals App for tarot I use labyrinthos and biddy tarot depending on what path you're following depends on the resources, but most you kinda have to just be hesitant with as information has been twisted for peoples narratives through the ages
