Masked Fools + Trailblazer
Okay, fellow Honkai Star Rail adventurers, let's talk about something that's been buzzing in my head ever since I stepped foot in Penacony: Is our beloved Trailblazer actually a Masked Fool? I mean, with all the chaos and theatrical flair unfolding, it's hard not to connect the dots! The Masked Fools, as we know, are the devoted followers of Aha, the Aeon of Elation. They live for performance, for making a grand spectacle, and for turning life into an elaborate, often unpredictable, joke. When I saw 'The Fools!' flash across the screen or heard characters talk about them, my mind immediately went to certain antics we've seen. They're all about shaking things up, and honestly, doesn't that sound a bit like our main character sometimes? Think about it: the phrase 'We got fans out in Penacony' from some of the snippets really hits different now. Penacony itself feels like a stage set for the Masked Fools, a place where dreams and reality blur, and every interaction could be part of a larger performance. And who is often at the center of this performance? Our very own Trailblazer, unwittingly or not! Then there's Sampo Koski. Oh, Sampo! He's practically the poster child for a cunning Masked Fool, always with a trick up his sleeve. When I heard things like 'Hey Sampo, you calling my line?', it just reinforces how intertwined his path is with the Trailblazer's. He's always there, nudging us, guiding us, sometimes even 'making us sip on Pepsi' or 'fanta' in a metaphorical sense, leading us into situations that feel very much like Foolish schemes. Is he trying to recruit us, or just enjoying the show? And let's not forget Sparkle, another high-ranking Masked Fool. Her playful, deceptive nature and her direct engagement with the Trailblazer are practically screaming 'connection'! The vibe of 'Hey Sparkle, you is my slime!' perfectly captures that chaotic, yet oddly familiar, dynamic. She pushes our buttons, forces us into unexpected roles, and always seems to be having the time of her life watching the Trailblazer react. It makes you wonder: when exactly did the Trailblazer become so deeply entangled with these agents of chaos? Was it a choice, or were they simply drawn into Aha's grand theatre? I've been replaying certain Penacony moments, looking for clues. The Trailblazer often reacts with a deadpan expression to the most bizarre situations, almost as if they're in on the joke, or at least, prepared for anything. Could this be a subtle nod to a deeper, perhaps subconscious, alignment with the Masked Fools' philosophy? Or maybe they're just really good at improvisation. My personal theory? While the Trailblazer might not be a fully initiated Masked Fool in the traditional sense, they are undoubtedly a key player in Aha's grand cosmic comedy. They embody the spirit of Elation through their journey, their unpredictability, and their ability to bring joy (and sometimes utter confusion) to the characters around them. The 'when did the Trailblazer become a Masked Fool' question might not have a single answer, but rather a gradual realization of their role in this cosmic play. What do you all think? Have you noticed any other hints or 'The Fools!' moments that I might have missed?
