Sometimes self care looks like..

I am not condoning overeating but sometimes this is what self care looks like.

It looks like all my favorite treats anytime I want.

Its a “yes, you can have it” instead of a “no not now”.

Ive always been a no person to certain goodies since my dad was super mean about eating growing up. I used to fear using the microwave because he would say, “eating again?” It carried with me until I moved away.

Sometimes its nice to forget those thoughts and enjoy sweets and good foods again 💓 #shareyourthoughts #sweets #Lemon8Diary #embracevulnerability #unfiltered #healthylifestyle2024 #icecream #selflove #selfcareroutine

... Read moreSelf-care often takes on unexpected forms, and for many, it means allowing oneself to enjoy life's simple pleasures without guilt. Treats like ice cream before dinner or a decadent cake-in-a-cup for breakfast can be reflections of this liberated mindset. Embracing these moments can help break free from the constraints of past restrictive behaviors, empowering individuals to create a healthier relationship with food. Such experiences foster mindfulness around eating, encouraging people to savor each moment without judgment. The rise of trends like midnight sundaes and viral ice cream treats showcases a collective shift toward celebrating indulgence and joy in our diets. This shift is particularly significant for those who have grown up with strict food rules, evoking feelings of nostalgia and freedom. Remember, self-care can and should include enjoyment – it’s about making peace with food and celebrating your choices with love and acceptance. Allow yourself the freedom to explore new tastes, enjoy delectable sweets, and create memories that nourish not just the body but the soul.

My favorite is vanilla icecream with a favorite cereal! Instead of yogurt!
