Acrylics on my toes🌸✨
I’m so proud of how this came out! I’ve been trying to do a lot of self-care at home, and get on a good routine and habit for everything. it’s a little difficult to take time for yourself, even though I spend a lot of time on my phone, I don’t find myself spending a lot of time worrying about myself. (considering I’m scrolling must care about other peoples lives more yk) so I’m trying to change that. #shareyourthoughts #takingcareofmyself #pedicure #askmeanything #advice #Girls
Hey everyone! You know how important self-care is, right? For me, it's become all about creating those little moments of pampering at home. Lately, I've been absolutely loving my DIY acrylic pedicures, and I wanted to share why this has been such a game-changer for my routine and my feet. I used to be someone who always admired beautiful feet with long natural toenails or perfectly shaped acrylics. I’d scroll through endless pictures of 'pretty black girl feet' or 'sexy natural toes' and wish my own plain toes looked that good. Going to the salon can be expensive and time-consuming, so I started exploring how I could achieve that salon-quality 'pedicure acrylic' look right at home. It’s truly transformed my 'feet nails' game! Why acrylics for toes, you might ask? For me, it’s about durability and achieving that perfect shape. My natural nails can be a bit brittle, and getting that 'pretty long toes' look was a struggle. Acrylics give my toes incredible strength and allow me to maintain a consistent, polished appearance. They resist chipping and breaking much better than regular polish, which means my 'sexy toenails' stay looking fabulous for weeks! Plus, I love that I can shape them exactly how I want, whether it’s a subtle almond or a classic square. It really elevates the look of my 'feet womens' overall. Getting started with a DIY acrylic pedicure is easier than you think, but it does require a few key supplies: a good quality acrylic powder and liquid (monomer), a brush, nail files (various grits), a buffer, cuticle pusher, and a dehydrator/primer. Ventilation is super important, so always do this in a well-aired space. My first few attempts weren't perfect, but with practice, I've gotten so much better at creating smooth, even layers that look professional. The process typically starts with proper nail prep. I make sure my 'feet natural nails' are clean, push back my cuticles, gently buff the surface to remove any shine, and then dehydrate them. This step is crucial for adhesion. Then I apply the primer. The trickiest part is getting the right bead consistency – not too wet, not too dry. Once you master that, it’s about carefully placing the acrylic on the nail, building the apex, and shaping it before it sets. I find shaping is where you can really make your toes look 'sexy nails' and defined. After curing (if using gel acrylics) or air-drying, I file and buff to a smooth finish, then apply a top coat for that extra shine. Maintaining your acrylic toes is just as important as the application. I typically do fills every 2-3 weeks, depending on my nail growth. Regular moisturizing of my feet is a must, too. I love a good 'bubble bath on toes' soak with Epsom salts – it keeps my feet soft and helps prevent my cuticles from drying out. Even with acrylics, healthy skin around your nails makes all the difference. This whole journey has been a wonderful way to incorporate more self-care into my life. It’s not just about having 'pretty toes' or 'sexy feet'; it’s about taking the time for myself, finding joy in making something beautiful, and feeling confident from head to toe. If you've been wanting to try a 'pedicure' at home, whether it’s for 'long natural toenails' or to experiment with 'purple pedicure' designs, I totally encourage you to go for it! It's amazing what a little dedication can do for your personal well-being and your nail game.
