This app has been my favorite! Aside from it being so aesthetically pleasing with its minimalistic layout… it’s so informative!
As a PCOS girly, I know that nutrition has a big impact on my symptoms and cycles.
✨ What I LOVE about this app is how it shows me which phase of my cycle im in, and will give lifestyle tips for each phase. Nutrition, movement, and self care tips!
✨ It’s also so good to track my symptoms… I included a screenshot of the symptom page, but that’s only a small part!
✨ the calendar is so visually helpful for tracking my phases as well… and so far, it’s accurate too!
✨I use the free version, but there is an option to upgrade; the premium version has hormone trackers and has a partner view as well, for those wanting to share their cycle tracking with their partners :)
✨ as someone who has been wanting to get her cycle under control, this app has been so helpful!! Definitely one of the better apps I’ve tried, and by far my favorite:)
... Read moreIt's tough to pick a period tracker app when there are so many out there, right? I've been through my fair share of downloads, trying to find one that truly understands what it means to manage a cycle, especially as someone with PCOS. Apps like WomanLog, MyFlo, and even PinkLlama often pop up in searches, but I kept running into issues – clunky interfaces, inaccurate predictions, or just not enough practical advice. That's why I absolutely have to share my experience with the Lively Period Tracker app, which has been an absolute game-changer for me on my iPhone!
What first drew me to Lively was its incredibly clean and aesthetic interface. Seriously, it’s beautiful and so easy on the eyes, which makes tracking feel less like a chore and more like a gentle, mindful practice. Unlike some apps where the calendar view can feel overwhelming, Lively’s layout is super intuitive. I love being able to see my current cycle phase at a glance, and the calendar clearly marks my "18th Day of Cycle" with all the relevant information. It’s perfect for visual thinkers, and the accuracy has been spot-on for me.
But beyond the pretty visuals, what truly sets Lively apart are the actionable insights it provides. Each phase comes with personalized lifestyle tips covering nutrition, movement, and self-care. For example, during my Follicular Phase, I’ve gotten amazing suggestions like trying a hydrating face mist or planning an outdoor picnic for self-care. On the nutrition front, it’s introduced me to foods like quinoa, miso paste, and tofu, which I’ve found incredibly helpful for managing my energy. And for movement, it suggests energizing workouts like spinning or cycling – totally different from what it recommends during other phases. It’s like having a personalized wellness coach in my pocket!
The symptom tracking in Lively is also incredibly comprehensive. The "Log Symptom" screen isn't just about logging period cramps; it allows me to track a huge range of moods, from feeling Calm and Happy to managing moments of Anxious or Depressed feelings. This detailed logging has helped me identify patterns and understand my body's fluctuations much better. I even noticed and implemented some of the "Social Butterfly" tips it gave me for peak energy days – things like planning social gatherings or even public speaking if I felt up to it, along with eating carbs and smoothies to fuel those active moments.
For anyone comparing Lively to apps like Luna Period Tracker for teens or even the basic Period Tracker Lite, the depth of information and personalized guidance from Lively is unparalleled. While the free version offers so much, the premium features, like hormone trackers and the partner view, are definitely something I’m considering upgrading to for even more insights. If you’re on iOS and looking for a period tracker that’s not only beautiful but genuinely informative and empowers you to understand and manage your cycle better, especially if you have conditions like PCOS, you absolutely need to check out the Lively Period Tracker app. It’s been my favorite for a reason!
