why I stopped dating
I recently went on a date & realized, this dating world doesn’t have much to offer. Too many men lie about their expectations, just to get what they want & waste your time. I have come to the realization that I am completely content on my own! I have a great career and a loving family, we don’t even need men to have children these days! I have already don’t extensive research on artificial insemination, for if and when I decide it’s time for me to be a mother. I guess what I’m trying to say here is, fuck men girl, we got this shit on our own! 🩷

I genuinely hope you heal from the things you don’t talk about. ❤️ I understand where you’re coming from because dating today can be exhausting, & there are definitely people who aren’t honest about their intentions. But I don’t believe all men are the same. As a single mom of two, I know firsthand that you can raise children on your own, but it’s SUPER hard & isn’t supposed to be this way. It’s emotionally, physically, mentally & financially exhausting. I do it because I have to for them, not because it’s what I would choose for them; I PRAY I HAD A MAN to help me with the kids, they are constantly nagging me about me dating/being happy & them having a dad, because their bio dad is a POS & doesn’t come around & i should have known that when i got with him… Children benefit from having both parents. Moms and dads often bring different strengths to parenting. A good man can provide support, guidance, protection, encouragement, & share the responsibilities that come with raising a family. Parenting was never meant to fall on one person’s shoulders. I don’t have help. I don’t have family or friends stepping in to babysit whenever I need them or help take care of my other child if one of my kids needs me most, I’m literally raising my children every single day on my own, & while I wouldn’t trade them for the world, it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Being a parent isn’t just about bringing a child into the world, it’s about having the emotional, physical, & financial support to raise them well when life gets hard, because life will get hard. Independence is a beautiful thing, but I don’t think it means we were meant to do life alone. For me, the goal isn’t simply having children, it’s building a stable, loving family with the right man by my side. That’s worth waiting for… & I pray everyday that I’m brought the man who needs his rib back…. Yes there are some real crappy boys(men) out there ; but there are also, mature, loving men out there, I’ve met some.
