Why romanticizing my time with God is important to ME.
Let me lead with, not everything needs to be romanticized. For me, my time with God does. I've always lacked consistency with most things, especially starting new habits. I'll thrive for 6 months and then completely fall off. Romanticizing my time with God is essential for me because it encourages me to say consistent. I don't want to become Lukewarm and lose my zeal for the Lord. I have to make it fun. I have to make it aesthetically pleasing. I have to spice it up. Visuals/aesthetics motivate me. There's nothing wrong with that. Whatever tools you need to utilize to keep your fire burning for the Lord, USE THEM. Bible study, doesn't have to be boring. Grab that pink highlighter and purple pen. Reading the Bible doesn't have to be boring or hard to understand, purchase that Pink leather NIV version with the girly bookmark that has fringes at the bottom of it. Doodle in your Bible if it means, it helps you too remember a certain passage in its proper context. Do what YOU need to do to stay motivated. There's nothing wrong with it. I love social media when it's used for good things like praising and glorifying the Lord and encouraging others to do the same. I get so much inspiration from fellow Christian Girlies. I also love sharing and inspiring others and it warms my heart when I receive comments or messages from people who are inspired from my testimonial posts about my walk with Christ. I give all the Glory to the Lord.
Be intentional and have fun with God. It doesn't have to be a snooze fest! The Bible is a very interesting book loaded with lots of entertainment. Drama, sex, good vs.evil, relationships, losses and victories. You name it, it's got it! Shalom!❤️
