Things I Did in my Chronic Illness Flare
Had the nastiest little fibromyalgia flare for the past 2.5 weeks so here’s what I did whilst bedridden 🙃
- wore all my comfiest clothes
- did some junk journaling and did this little sticker world collage of these super cute penguins in a bookstore
- got around with the help of my cane
- did some cross stitching of a mushroom on a moon 🍄🌙
- doodled a bit
- made some new stickers and bookmarks for my shop
- worked on a new cutie little mirror decal 🪐
- had a little comfort snack
- drank a lot of tea
- watched a lot of musicals ☔️

Living with chronic illnesses like fibromyalgia often means facing flare-ups that can restrict daily activities. However, embracing creativity and comfort can make a significant difference in your experience. When bedridden, consider wearing your favorite cozy clothes to enhance relaxation. Engaging in light activities such as journaling allows you to express your emotions. Creating art, whether it's doodling or making stickers, can be incredibly therapeutic, providing a sense of accomplishment. Many find enjoyment in cross-stitching, a meditative craft that can help alleviate stress. Exploring hobbies like watching musicals can provide comfort and escape. Additionally, sipping tea and enjoying comfort snacks can enhance your self-care routine. Connecting with supportive communities online can also be uplifting, offering a sense of belonging during challenging times. Remember, it's essential to prioritize your mental well-being and find joy in the little creative moments, no matter the circumstances.
