Showing my TRUE STATEMENT COLORS 💄
Hey besties! This is my baddest outfit yet and this was the look that helped me receive a free goodie bag from Ulta! So aside from obviously living vibrantly and kindly, being mindful of the color theory definitely helped enhance my looks and my confidence!🖍️
Knowing yourself and what basic skin tone you were born with (or tanned with if you can’t burn) definitely can boost your outfit aesthetics and what sort of statement you wanna show the world!
This works with ANY skin color and color combo if studied and applied correctly. What helped me the most is taking a selfie trying on clothes and not focusing on the actual color of a piece but seeing if that article of clothing radiates at the same intensity as my skin under that same light.

Hey everyone! Building on my earlier thoughts about finding your 'statement colors,' I wanted to dive deeper into something many of us with pale skin might struggle with: how to truly rock warm tones without feeling washed out. It’s a common misconception that pale skin only suits cool colors, but trust me, embracing warm hues can completely transform your look and boost your confidence! For me, the key was understanding that not all warm tones are created equal. You want to look for colors that have a richness and depth rather than being overly bright or neon, which can sometimes overpower fair complexions. Think about the 'Hue-To-Skin Ratio Method' – it’s about finding that perfect balance where the color enhances, not competes with, your natural glow. I've found that deep, earthy warm tones are absolute game-changers. Imagine a beautiful olive green, a rich mustard yellow, or a burnt orange; these shades can bring a lovely warmth to your skin without making you look tired. Let’s talk specifics for building those 'pale skin, warm tone' outfits. For reds, skip the super bright cherry and instead gravitate towards burgundy, brick red, or even a deep ruby. I once tried on a gorgeous burgundy satin top, similar to one I saw in a store, and was amazed at how it made my skin look luminous. The slight sheen of satin also adds another dimension. For yellows, mustard or goldenrod work wonderfully, especially when paired with a neutral like cream or a dark wash denim. And don't shy away from greens! Forest green, moss green, or a deep teal (which has warm undertones) can be incredibly flattering. Another trick I’ve learned is to pay attention to fabrics. As seen with the satin pieces, different textures absorb and reflect light differently. A chunky knit sweater in a warm caramel can feel incredibly cozy and flattering, while a silk blouse in a similar shade might have a different effect. Always try things on in natural light to see how the color truly interacts with your skin. This is where the selfie trick I mentioned earlier comes in handy – it helps you objectively assess the 'intensity' of the color against your skin. Beyond just clothing, don't forget accessories and makeup to tie everything together. A statement necklace with amber stones, a pair of warm gold earrings, or a scarf with a beautiful peach or coral pattern can instantly infuse warmth into an outfit. And for makeup, think about 'blush selection.' A peachy blush or a bronzer with warm undertones can give your face a healthy, radiant glow that complements your warm-toned clothing perfectly. It's all about creating a cohesive, harmonious look that makes you feel incredible. So go ahead, experiment with those warm tones; your pale skin is ready to shine!
