It's been such a journey ever since I heard the news that MHA is coming back soon! The excitement mixed with the bittersweet feeling that it's also ending has really had me in my feels. As a huge fan, I wanted to channel all that energy into something creative, and that's how my Uraraka Starbucks cosplay idea was born! I mean, who doesn't love Ochako Uraraka's bubbly personality and a good coffee run? The idea for a Starbucks-themed Uraraka cosplay just clicked one day. I was thinking about how much I adore Uraraka, her determination, and her signature pinks, and then I imagined her working at a cute cafe. Starbucks immediately came to mind! I envisioned her in a green apron, perhaps with a custom-made drink that defies gravity, just like her quirk. It's such a fun mash-up that highlights two things I really enjoy. Putting this cosplay together was an adventure! First, I had to find the right green apron. I actually found a barista-style apron online and then customized it. For Uraraka's signature look, a good wig was essential – that perfect brown bob. I styled it with a bit of volume to capture her energetic vibe. Makeup was kept light and natural, focusing on bright eyes to match her cheerful demeanor. The real fun was in the details! I found some cute pink ribbon to tie around my apron and debated on adding little 'gravity-defying' sequins or glitter to represent her quirk. I even crafted a prop coffee cup that looked like it was floating, just for the photos! It really brings the 'Uraraka touch' to the Starbucks theme. My favorite part was definitely the photoshoot. I scouted a local cafe with a similar vibe to Starbucks – you know, lots of warm wood tones and big windows. It was a blast posing with my 'floating' coffee, trying to capture Uraraka's playful spirit. It felt amazing to bring this unique concept to life. A few people even recognized the character and loved the Starbucks twist, which totally made my day! It's moments like these that make all the effort worth it. Uraraka has always been one of my favorite characters in My Hero Academia. Her journey, her resilience, and her desire to help her family are incredibly inspiring. Even though it's sad to think about MHA ending, the fact that it's coming back soon means we get more Ochako Uraraka moments, and that alone is enough to keep my cosplay gears turning! This Uraraka Starbucks cosplay was my way of celebrating her and the amazing world of MHA. It’s a bittersweet reminder of how much this anime means to me.
