Charlotte Tilbury Face Palette?? 🎨
I decided to update my makeup routine a little bit because all the makeup I have just isn’t doing it for me anymore. I bought this palette because I am always looking for products that are travel friendly. (Guilty of doing makeup in the car anytime I go somewhere).
💌 Product: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Instant Look Palette - Dreamy, Bronzed Beauty
👍Why I like it: The shades in this palette work very well together. I didn’t realize they made a lighter shade until after I ordered this, but I tried it anyway and it turned out okay pretty good with a light hand. It’s versatile enough to use when I’m both pale and tan. I really liked the blush duo in this palette. It comes with a matte and a glow version of the blush, and I am really loving the two together. It gives a really healthy flush glow to the skin that just looks so so pretty.
👎 What I didn’t like: The only reason I didn’t give this palette a 10/10 is because of the eyeshadows. In this palette it has 2 shimmers and 1 matte eyeshadow color. I would have liked to have seen maybe another matte transition shade for this palette and not just two shimmers. I’m not a huge shimmer girl and really only wear a shimmery shade every once in a blue moon. Now the shimmers are very pretty and neutral, but again, I only wear shimmers maybe 2x/year.

Okay, so I've been living with my Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Instant Look Palette for a bit now, and I wanted to dive deeper into some of the practical ways I've been using it, especially for those of you who, like me, might be eyeing this "full face palette" for its convenience! I know the initial review covered my likes and dislikes, but let's talk about how to really make this beauty work for you. First off, that blush duo? Absolute magic! The palette includes both a matte blush and a glow blush, and I've found my personal favorite way to apply them. I start by sweeping the matte shade onto the apples of my cheeks, blending upwards towards my temples for a soft, natural flush. Then, I take a lighter hand with the glow blush, focusing it just on the tops of my cheekbones. This layering technique gives such a dimensional, healthy flush glow that looks incredibly natural and lifted. It's not just a pop of color; it's like a soft-focus filter in real life. Whether I'm looking pale or have a bit of a tan, these shades are surprisingly adaptable and just seem to melt into my skin. Now, about the eyeshadows. If you read my initial thoughts, you know I'm not a huge shimmer girl, and this palette has two shimmers and only one matte eyeshadow. But I've found ways to make them work! For an everyday look, I’ll use the matte shade all over my lid as a base, and sometimes even blend it into my crease for a bit of definition. Then, if I want just a tiny bit of sparkle, I’ll take one of the shimmers on my fingertip and lightly tap it just on the center of my lid or in the inner corner for a brightening effect. It’s a subtle way to incorporate them without feeling overwhelmed by glitter. For a more evening-appropriate look, I’ve found that applying the shimmer with a damp brush really intensifies the metallic finish, making it pop without looking too much for my personal style. It’s all about controlled application, and these shimmers are actually quite refined, not chunky at all. Let’s not forget the other elements in this amazing metallic casing: the two face powders! These aren't just for setting; they're fantastic for contouring and highlighting. I use the deeper powder (which I interpret as one of the face powders from the OCR) just under my cheekbones and along my jawline for a soft contour. It’s not an intense sculpt, but a subtle definition that enhances my features. Then, the lighter powder goes on areas I want to highlight, like the bridge of my nose and above my brow bone. This really ties the whole look together and adds to that 'Hollywood glow' effect the palette promises. It’s truly versatile for creating a cohesive, polished look. And for my fellow on-the-go makeup lovers, this palette is a dream. The fact that it contains eyeshadows, a matte blush, a glow blush, and those excellent face powders all in one compact, sturdy metallic casing means it's my ultimate travel companion. No more digging through a giant makeup bag for individual items! I can literally do my full face makeup in the car (guilty!) or on a quick trip without needing anything else. It saves space, time, and honestly, a lot of stress. At $69, it feels like an investment, but considering the quality and versatility of all the products inside, it really does feel like a solid value for what you get. It’s become a staple in my routine, and I highly recommend exploring all the ways you can use its various components!
