Viral Christmas Simmer Pot
There are some trends you just got to jump on. For me it was the viral Christmas simmer pot. I’m so glad that I did because I will be making it over and over again, from now until Christmas. My house smells amazing! I used:
1/2-1 cup of cranberries
1-red apple
1-orange
3- cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon of cloves
1 tablespoon of dried rosemary (I couldn’t find fresh but will try to find some….dried worked fine)
5-6 cups of water
I let it boil for 15-20 minutes and then let it simmer for another 30 minutes. Next time I’ll make it in my crockpot and just leave it on low all day.

A Christmas simmer pot is a delightful and easy way to infuse your home with festive fragrances during the holiday season. The simplicity of this DIY project allows for creativity while utilizing common ingredients often found in your kitchen. Beyond just cranberries, apples, and cloves, consider adding extra ingredients like orange peels, vanilla extracts, or even a few drops of essential oils for an added aromatic boost. Boiling your mixture and allowing it to simmer can release natural oils from the ingredients, creating a sweet, warm scent that transforms your home into a cozy haven. It's important to keep an eye on the water levels during the simmering process to prevent burning. If you're short on time, the use of a slow cooker can be a game-changer; simply set it on low and enjoy the fragrance throughout the day without constant monitoring. This holiday season, engage your friends and family by inviting them to join in on the simmer pot fun. Encourage them to create their own variations, combining favorite fruits and spices, leading to a variety of scents that cater to personal tastes. Furthermore, this festive activity makes a wonderful homemade gift. Prepare the ingredients in a decorative jar and pair it with instructions for a perfect holiday present. With such versatility and charm, a Christmas simmer pot is set to become a cherished holiday tradition in many households.
