... Read moreOkay, fellow Netflix addicts! I've been seeing so many of you asking about 'Geek Girl' Season 2, and honestly, I'm right there with you, refreshing my feed for updates! If you haven't dived into the world of Harriet Manners yet, you are seriously missing out on one of Netflix's most charming and relatable coming-of-age stories. For those who are new to it, 'Geek Girl' follows Harriet, a quirky, neurodivergent teenager who accidentally stumbles into the high-fashion world. It's full of hilarious mishaps, heartwarming friendships, and a journey of self-discovery that makes you instantly fall in love with her. I mean, who hasn't felt a bit out of place sometimes? Harriet just takes it to a whole new level, and it’s brilliant to watch her navigate the glitz and glamour with her wonderfully unique perspective. Now, about Season 2 – this is the big question, right? As of now, Netflix hasn't made an official announcement about 'Geek Girl' getting a second season. But don't lose hope! The show only just premiered, and streaming platforms usually take a little time to gather viewership data before greenlighting sequels. The first season was a massive hit, especially among young adults and anyone who loves a good British comedy-drama, so I've got my fingers crossed! What would a second season even look like? Well, for those of us who've read Holly Smale's fantastic book series that the show is based on, we know there's plenty more story to tell. Harriet's journey as a model, her evolving friendships, and her sweet romance with Nick all have so much potential for growth and drama in future seasons. I'd personally love to see her explore more international fashion weeks and maybe even tackle some bigger industry challenges, all while staying true to her wonderfully geeky self. Imagine the outfits, the new characters, and of course, more of her hilarious inner monologues! The cast did such an incredible job bringing these characters to life, especially Emily Carey as Harriet. I can't imagine anyone else in the role! If a second season does happen, I'm really hoping the core cast, including Liam Woodrum as Nick and Rochelle Harrington as Nat, will all return. Their chemistry is just *chef's kiss*, and it’s what makes the show so endearing. While we're all patiently (or impatiently, like me!) waiting for any news on 'Geek Girl' Season 2, it's the perfect time to rewatch Season 1 or dive into the book series if you haven't already. It's a great way to relive Harriet's adventures and get your fix.
