2018-2024 hair change

My hair have changed a lot since 2018.

The color of my hair now is more darker than before and I feel the sun and using too much products to curl it have affected on the color it has.

*I have never bleached/dye my hair*

In 2021 I decided to cut it because it was too long and I couldn’t manage it since I was working in a warehouse and going to college and that was stressful.

Now that it grew back I want to cut it again :(

What should I do?

Your story of hair changes from 2018 to 2024 truly resonates with me. I remember having beautiful long, light brown hair myself, and the dilemma of wanting a fresh start without regretting it later. It sounds like you've experienced the full cycle – the joy of lengthy locks, the necessity of a big chop for manageability, and now the contemplation of another change as your very long, straight, light brown hair has grown back. Choosing a new hair cut style for ladies can feel monumental, especially when you've invested years in growing it out. Based on your experience of cutting it in 2021 due to being "too long" and hard to manage with work and college, I'd suggest exploring styles that offer a balance of chicness and practicality. One classic option that's truly timeless is The Lob (Long Bob). It falls anywhere between the chin and collarbone, giving you a significant change from your current length without going too short. It’s incredibly versatile – you can still tie it up for work, but it takes far less time to wash and style. A lob can give amazing volume and movement, making your hair feel lighter and healthier. If you're not ready for a major length reduction but crave a refresh, consider mid-length layers. This can transform your existing very long, straight, light brown hair by adding shape and texture, removing some of the weight that can make long hair feel unmanageable. Layers can frame your face beautifully and create an illusion of fullness, especially if your hair tends to lie flat. You could also explore subtle face-framing layers combined with a V-cut or U-cut at the back to maintain most of your length while adding softness. Another popular choice is experimenting with bangs or fringe. Whether it's a soft curtain fringe that blends seamlessly or a bolder blunt bang, this can completely alter your look without sacrificing much length. Just make sure to consider your lifestyle – bangs do require a bit more styling commitment! When making your decision, think about a few key factors. First, your lifestyle: are you still in a busy phase where low maintenance is key, or do you have more time for styling? Second, your face shape: certain cuts enhance different features. A quick online search or a chat with a trusted stylist can help you figure out what might best complement you. And finally, your hair texture: since your hair is naturally straight/lightly wavy, many styles will hold well, but some might require specific styling products to achieve the desired look. It’s exciting to embark on a new hair journey! Don't forget that hair always grows back, so it's okay to experiment. I'd love to hear what cut you decide on, or if any of these ideas spark inspiration. What hair cut style for ladies do you think would be perfect for this next chapter?
