Goodbye Infinity Nikki
It was nice while it lasted. I enjoyed the world and characters. The whimisical atmosphere reminded me of the 2000s fairytale CG Barbie movies I watched back then.
I had to pause for grad school. And I couldn't wait to pick up the game again once I was done for the semester. My excitement went away when I heard how the recent update caused the game to jump the shark with the story being retconned and introducing bugs among a few problems.
It was a nice game and I'm sad Infold threw everything away that made the game fun. I hope they don't do the same thing to Love and Deepspace.
EDIT: Apparently, LADS is also experincing some issues in the recent update from what I've heard online 😐
Infinity Nikki was once a delight for players who cherished its enchanting game world and colorful characters reminiscent of classic CG fairy tales. The game, known for its unique charm and engaging designs, captivated teens and gamers with over 1 million downloads and a notable user rating of 34,000 reviews. However, recent developments have caused an uproar in the gaming community. Many fans reported dissatisfaction with the latest update which seemingly 'jumped the shark,' radically altering core narratives and introducing unexpected bugs that disrupted gameplay. This turn of events has led players to question the integrity of updates and their impact on beloved gaming experiences. As discussions about the state of Infinity Nikki unfold, many are also concerned about other games like Love and Deepspace facing similar issues. Online threads are buzzing with reports of glitches and player frustrations, leaving users hoping for swift resolutions. Ultimately, the conversation around Infinity Nikki raises important questions about balance in game updates and the importance of maintaining the essence that drew players in initially. Moving forward, gaming developers must prioritize listening to their dedicated fan base to avoid alienating their community.

The storyline is only retconned if you’ve never played a Nikki game before. The theme in every game is Nikki trying and failing to save Miraland in a time loop, which is explained through star sea in the second game. It was always going to happen, I think new players were just surprised lol
