God changed the commandment and issued a civil decree making Sunday a day of rest from labor, stating: All judges and city
people and the craftsmen shall rest upon the venerable day Of the SUN , = Sunday worship.

Had the 7th day sabbath been universally
Kept according to the 4th commandment man's thoughts
and affections would have been lead to the creator as the object of worship and
thier would have never been an idoliter ,atheist or an infidel

The focus on the seventh day Sabbath as the true day of rest called by God rather than Sunday is a topic that many find controversial but meaningful when studied carefully. Learning that Sunday worship originated from a Roman imperial decree contradicts popular religious practice was eye-opening for me. This historic fact revealed how traditions can overshadow foundational scriptural commands. Keeping the Sabbath on the seventh day, Saturday, provides a weekly reminder of our relationship with the Creator. The passage highlights how this practice would ideally direct our thoughts and affections to God, helping avoid idolatry and infidelity that can arise from misguided beliefs. For me, observing the Sabbath became a personal experience of spiritual rest and renewal, reinforcing my commitment to live according to God’s principles as a reflection of His righteousness. Furthermore, the OCR text vividly illustrated the moral framework of the commandments—first four dealing with love and reverence for God, while the last six emphasize how we should love and treat others. This holistic approach to righteousness promotes integrity and community harmony, supporting both personal and collective well-being. In sharing this, I encourage others to explore biblical texts themselves and reflect on how upholding God’s moral law, especially the Sabbath commandment, can transform one’s spiritual walk. It’s about embracing God’s righteousness not as an external rule but as an expression of genuine faith and loyalty that guides daily life and worship.
