BREAST PUMPS I HAVE PART 3

MEDELA PUMP IN STYLE MAXFLOW

This is one of the pumps that really empty me out and I really love that! I got it for free through Insurance with my second baby.

This is a pump that I would really recommend cause I don’t feel like I still have milk after using it. The things I don’t like it’s that I have to be connected to the outlet, it comes with a little battery pack but it needs like 8 batteries and it only lasts like 2-3 pumps and it doesn’t have a screen to se how many minutes you pump for.

... Read moreYou know how I mentioned the Medela Pump In Style MaxFlow really empties me out? Let's dive a bit deeper into why I think it's so efficient and some tips I've picked up along the way to make your pumping journey smoother. From what I’ve experienced, its two-phase expression technology (stimulation and expression modes) works wonders. I found that starting with a few minutes of stimulation before switching to expression really helped maximize my milk output. Finding the right suction level and cycle speed for your body is key – don't be afraid to experiment until it feels comfortable and effective. One of the biggest wins for me was getting this Medela Pump In Style MaxFlow for free through insurance. If you're expecting or a new mom, please check your insurance benefits! Most plans cover a breast pump. My advice? Contact your insurance provider early in your pregnancy. They can guide you through the process, often directing you to approved medical supply companies. Typically, you'll need a prescription from your doctor. It was such a relief to know I could get a high-quality Medela breast pump without the upfront cost, especially because these reviews often highlight the price. Now, about the things I wasn't so keen on, specifically its power source. Being connected to an outlet can be limiting, and while it comes with a battery pack, it eats through AA batteries like crazy – needing eight at a time, and only lasting for 2-3 pumping sessions, as I mentioned. This was a common point in other Medela MaxFlow reviews I'd read. To combat this, I ended up investing in a portable power bank that was compatible with the pump. It gave me so much more flexibility to pump in different rooms or even on the go without constantly searching for an outlet. It's an extra purchase, but for me, it was worth it for the added convenience. Another minor drawback was the lack of a screen to track how many minutes I was pumping. It felt a bit old-school, but it’s definitely something you can work around. I simply used the timer on my phone or a small kitchen timer. It's not a deal-breaker, especially when the pump is so effective at filling up those collection bottles quickly. Speaking of collection bottles, always ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized after each use to maintain milk quality and prevent contamination. Finally, ensuring you have the right flange size for your Medela breast pump is absolutely crucial – it can make all the difference in comfort and how much milk you're able to express into those collection bottles. I learned this the hard way! If pumping ever feels uncomfortable or you're not getting as much milk as you expect, look into resizing your flanges. Overall, despite its minor quirks, my Medela Pump In Style MaxFlow has been a reliable workhorse, consistently helping me achieve my pumping goals and truly emptying me out.

I actually don’t feel like this one empties me out but I do love it! Haha especially with the collectible cups, I bought those separately. I recommend! 10/10 🫶🏻
