Tanzanian authorities have confirmed that #JoeMcCann is still being questioned by police and his passport has been confiscated amid the investigation.
New details from ABC News reveal that hotel staff were alerted to a domestic disturbance described as a romantic conflict between the couple by other guests. Hotel staff separated them that night moving McCann to a different villa about 8 to 10 minutes away. Ashlee was found unresponsive in her room about two to three hours later.
Her mother told ABC News that McCann called her on April 9 and said Ashlee did something to herself and was being taken to the hospital and that she was stable. She died that same day.
