How I Got Closure When My Marriage Ended💕

When I decided enough was too much and to end my marriage of 16 years, I didn't seek closure from the man I left. I sought closure from the woman I left with: ME!

When "it" happened more than once, it's because "I" allowed it to. I owed myself some unfiltered, soul searching answers to my questions. Then, I forgave myself, for real - and thanked God for NOT answering my prayers to change him. I thanked God for loving me so much that he changed "ME!"

My moral: I had to get to the root cause so I could heal the actual "sickness", not just deal with the symptoms. I didn't want his closure. I needed my own.

This process often involves deep self-reflection and an understanding of personal accountability, allowing for healing and growth. Techniques such as yoga and reading can greatly aid in this journey by providing tools for mindfulness and self-discovery. Engaging in these practices helps in acknowledging emotions and fostering a positive mindset. Furthermore, it is essential to recognize that closure is a personal journey. It shouldn’t be contingent on the actions or feelings of others, but solely rooted in our own understanding and acceptance of our experiences. By focusing on self-love and forgiveness, one can truly begin to move forward. Remember that healing is not linear, and each person's path to closure will vary. It's important to give yourself grace and time throughout this process.
