Scientists experimented with four giraffes, showing them the number of carrots in a container, adding food, then closing the container and letting the giraffe choose which one would have more food.

As a result, some giraffes are more correct than random, indicating that they may be able to remember the number seen and "include the number" in their minds to a certain extent.
