March Nails 🐞💚🍓
Transitioning to gel nails for March is one of my favorite ways to celebrate the new season. This time around, using a 5-week retention approach really made a difference in durability and overall look. The key to a flawless gel manicure starts with prepping your nails properly. I always use a dehydrator and bond to ensure the surface is perfectly clean and ready for the gel application. This step helps the nail tips adhere better and reduces lifting. For the tips, I chose UNA GELLA false nails, which are professional-grade and easy to work with. I cut and shaped each tip carefully to suit my nail bed, ensuring a comfortable and natural fit before gluing. Using UNA GELLA’s nail glue gel creates a strong bond that helps the tips stay secure. Once the tips were laid and prepped, I applied a high-quality base coat gel to protect my natural nails and create an even surface. Curing under a UV-LED light is crucial—for both the base and subsequent gel layers—to ensure strong, chip-resistant nails. Finishing the set with carefully selected spring colors and small designs like ladybugs and strawberries adds a fun, seasonal touch. This combo not only lasts but stays vibrant through daily activities. My advice to anyone trying this at home is to invest in a good dehydrator and bonding agent and to be patient with each curing step. It’s those little details that make a big difference in how professional and long-lasting your gel nails look! If you're new to gel nails, start simple and gradually incorporate more complex designs. With practice, you’ll find the process enjoyable and rewarding, giving you beautiful, salon-quality nails every month.
