⚠️ but! This trip almost broke because of "Net." 😅
Our mobile phone can only use one SIM. Normally, when going to PTT, you can remove the Thai SIM to the SIM. But this time there is a swipe / transfer card. It requires OTP from the Thai number. Almost can't do anything! OTP does not enter 😱 because the Thai number is closed.
💡 the trick that saved this trip.

ถ้าใครเคยเจอปัญหา “ไปต่างประเทศแล้ว OTP ไม่เข้า” บอกเลยว่ามักเกิดกับคนใช้มือถือซิมเดียวแบบเรา ๆ นี่แหละ เพราะพอไปถึงปุ๊บก็ถอดซิมไทยออก ใส่ซิมเน็ตท่องเที่ยว แล้วพอจะจ่ายเงิน/โอนเงิน/ยืนยันตัวตน แอปธนาคารดันส่ง OTP ไปที่เบอร์ไทย…แต่เบอร์นั้นไม่อยู่ในเครื่องแล้ว ก็เลยช็อตทันที คำถามที่เจอบ่อยมากคือ “ใช้ eSIM รับข้อความ SMS ได้ไหม ถ้าใช้ต่างประเทศจะได้รับ OTP ไหม?” คำตอบแบบเข้าใจง่ายคือ: ได้ ถ้าคุณยังเปิดใช้งานซิมไทย (เบอร์หลัก) ให้รับ SMS อยู่ในเครื่อง และตั้งค่าเครื่องถูกต้อง โดยให้ eSIM เป็นตัววิ่งเน็ต และซิมไทยเป็นตัวรับสาย/รับข้อความ วิธีที่เราใช้ (เหมาะกับมือถือซิมเดียวที่รองรับ eSIM) 1) เช็กก่อนเลยว่าเครื่องรองรับ eSIM: เข้า Settings > Cellular/Mobile Service ถ้ามีเมนู Add eSIM / Add Cellular Plan คือผ่าน 2) ซื้อ eSIM เน็ตต่างประเทศล่วงหน้า (เช่นแพ็กที่ไปเอเชีย/ฮ่องกง) แล้วติดตั้งตามขั้นตอน สแกน QR หรือกดติดตั้งจากแอป 3) ตั้งค่า “เส้นไหนใช้เน็ต”: ไปที่ Cellular/Mobile Data แล้วเลือกให้ eSIM เป็น Mobile Data 4) ตั้งค่า “เส้นไหนเป็นเบอร์หลัก”: เลือกให้ซิมไทยเป็น Default Voice Line (ไว้รับสาย/รับ SMS/OTP) 5) ปิด Data Roaming ของซิมไทย (สำคัญมากกันค่าโรมมิ่งบาน): เข้า Cellular > เลือกซิมไทย > ปิด Data Roaming และถ้ามีตัวเลือก Cellular Data Switching ให้ปิดไว้ด้วย เพื่อไม่ให้เครื่องสลับไปใช้เน็ตซิมไทยเอง ทำไมบางคนใช้ eSIM แล้ว OTP ยังไม่เข้า? - เผลอปิดซิมไทย/เปิดโหมดเครื่องบินแล้วไม่ได้เปิดเส้นมือถือกลับมา - อยู่ในพื้นที่สัญญาณไม่ดี (บางจุดในต่างประเทศโดยเฉพาะใต้ดิน) ให้ลองย้ายที่/รีสตาร์ทเครื่อง/เลือกเครือข่ายอัตโนมัติใหม่ - เปลี่ยนเครื่องใหม่แล้วธนาคารล็อกการส่ง OTP หรือแอปต้องยืนยันตัวตนเพิ่ม (อันนี้ต้องเตรียมก่อนเดินทาง) ทริคเล็ก ๆ ที่ช่วยให้ชัวร์ก่อนขึ้นเครื่อง - ลองให้ธนาคารส่ง OTP สักครั้งตอนยังอยู่ไทย เพื่อเช็กว่าเบอร์รับ SMS ปกติ - เซฟเบอร์ติดต่อธนาคาร/คอลเซ็นเตอร์ และเปิดการยืนยันตัวตนแบบไม่พึ่ง SMS (ถ้าธนาคารรองรับ) - ถ้าเน้นใช้งานหนัก ๆ เช่นดูแมพ อัปโหลดรูป 5G ทั้งวัน เลือกแพ็กที่มีเน็ตพอ (แบบ 10 วัน 13GB ก็ถือว่ากำลังพอดีสำหรับทริปสั้น) สรุปจากประสบการณ์เรา: eSIM คือทางรอดของคนใช้มือถือซิมเดียวจริง ๆ เพราะได้ทั้งเน็ตแรงไว้เที่ยว และยังรับ SMS/OTP จากเบอร์ไทยได้ ไม่ต้องลุ้นหน้าตู้ ATM หรือหน้าร้านว่า “จะจ่ายได้ไหม” อีกต่อไป
