It’s a fantastic pick if you're looking for something stylish, action-packed, and wonderfully weird. Kemono Jihen offered a different kind of supernatural experience. It follows a young detective agency solving mysteries involving yokai, or supernatural creatures. I really enjoyed the unique designs of the kemono and the way the show explored themes of identity and belonging. The cases were always interesting, blending folklore with modern storytelling. It’s a great choice if you like supernatural mysteries with a touch of the fantastical. Red Garden was a much darker, more psychological watch, but incredibly impactful. This series delves into the lives of four young women who are mysteriously brought back to life and forced to fight unknown entities. Its gothic atmosphere and mature themes really stood out. The story is quite intense and thought-provoking, exploring grief, destiny, and camaraderie in a very unique way. If you're up for something with a deeper, more emotional punch than typical action anime, give Red Garden a try. The visuals from its poster really capture its eerie vibe. The Girl from the Other Side was a truly enchanting and melancholic experience. The art style is absolutely breathtaking, like a moving storybook. It tells the tender and eerie tale of a human girl and a cursed entity, exploring themes of acceptance and otherness. It’s not action-heavy, but its quiet, atmospheric storytelling and beautiful animation left a lasting impression on me. It’s a perfect watch for when you want something artistic and heartwarming, yet with a touch of mystery. Finally, I rounded off my recent watching spree with BEM. This is a modern take on a classic yokai franchise, following three monstrous beings who fight evil in a corrupt city, hoping to one day become human. I appreciated its noir-like setting and how it tackled social issues through a supernatural lens. The character designs are striking, and the blend of horror and heroism kept me engaged.
