Spicy Shrimp Salad Recipe - Late Night Snack 🌙 🎀

Here’s a salad recipe that you’re going to want to try this month! From my own experience I often thought that a healthy lifestyle was being perfect at not giving into things I had promised myself I’d stop doing.

🌸 It wasn’t until I shifted my mindset from being perfect at subtracting to focusing on adding and adjusting that I made peace with this journey, took the pressure to be perfect off myself, and saw progress.

🌸Can you really sustain a lifestyle of never eating a late night snack again? Probably not unless you’re super woman. So just in case you’re like me and you want a late night snack, I began swapping my usual snack for a big pretty salad.

🌸My best advice is to eat intuitively trust your body to tell you what it needs. Adjust the type of food you’re eating, the frequency or the amount while you’re slowly building healthier habits. Here’s the recipe:

🎀 Spicy Shrimp Salad:

-Grilled shrimp (cooked in olive oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, oregano, dill, rosemary, salt, pepper)

-Romaine lettuce

-Black olives

-Caesar Asiago dressing

-Self-love

... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you loved my Spicy Shrimp Salad recipe, especially for those late-night cravings, and I'm thrilled it's helping you on your wellness journey! I wanted to dive a little deeper into why this salad works wonders and share some extra tips to make it even more your own. One of the biggest reasons I swear by this salad is its incredible versatility and how it truly embodies a nutritious blend of food. When you're looking for a satisfying snack or even a light meal, protein is key, and shrimp delivers a fantastic high protein punch without a lot of calories. It keeps you full and helps curb those unhealthy cravings that often derail our progress. And those healthy fats from the olive oil and black olives? They're crucial for satiety and overall well-being – not to mention they make the salad so much more delicious and flavorful. It really feels like self care is eating something this good and good for you! Let's talk customization! While my recipe calls for grilled shrimp seasoned with paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, oregano, dill, and rosemary, don't be afraid to experiment. If you like it even spicier, a dash of red pepper flakes or a hotter paprika can kick things up a notch. Not a fan of shrimp? Grilled chicken breast or even pan-seared tofu can work beautifully as a substitute, maintaining that high protein content. For veggies, beyond romaine lettuce, I sometimes toss in some baby spinach, cucumber slices, or even bell peppers for more crunch and vitamins. And if you're feeling adventurous, adding a handful of sprouts can give it an amazing textural contrast and added nutrients – totally transforming the salad while keeping it light. Another question I get asked is about making this recipe work for a busy schedule. This salad is fantastic for meal prepping! I often grill a larger batch of shrimp at the beginning of the week and store it separately. Then, when a craving hits, all I have to do is chop my romaine, toss in the olives, add the pre-cooked shrimp, and drizzle with my Caesar Asiago dressing. This way, I have a delicious, guilt-free snack ready in minutes, preventing me from reaching for less healthy options. It’s all about making healthy choices easy and accessible, right? Remember, the goal isn't perfection, but progress and enjoying your food. This spicy shrimp salad is more than just a recipe; it's a tool in my intuitive eating toolkit. It proves that healthy eating can be exciting, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying, especially when you're making choices that genuinely nourish your body and soul. Give these tips a try and let me know how you make your spicy shrimp salad uniquely yours!
