🔥BeautyHotTake:Do you care about shrinkage or no??

I personally dont care and never had an issue or obsession with shrinkage because I know it's just healthy hair, and I dont care how long my hair appears as long as it is healthy.

If I want a more stretched look I know how to achieve it bit im not pressed or irritated thay my natural hair is not naturally as stretched..

I know some hair care brands have made some haircare products to "lengthen or elongate " curls thay shrink and I think that honestly makes more curly girlies dislike it more...

I dont care either way...what are your thoughts??? comment below 👇🏽

... Read moreHair shrinkage is often misunderstood by many, especially those with curly or coily hair types. It's important to recognize that shrinkage is not a sign of damage but actually indicates healthy, hydrated hair. When hair curls coil up and appear shorter, it simply shows that the hair’s natural curl pattern is intact and springy. Many in the curly hair community initially struggle with shrinkage because it makes their hair look shorter than it actually is, leading to frustration. However, it’s vital to embrace shrinkage as a unique characteristic of natural hair rather than trying to fight or dislike it. Attempts to elongate curls with certain hair care products may temporarily change the appearance, but these can sometimes cause disappointment when the curls revert back or dry out due to chemical or heat treatments. Instead of focusing solely on length, prioritizing hair health by maintaining proper moisture and gentle care routines ensures the curls remain resilient and beautiful. Techniques like twisting, braiding, or banding can be used to achieve a stretched look without compromising hair integrity. Ultimately, loving your natural shrinkage can boost confidence and encourage healthier hair habits. Let’s celebrate curls in all their forms—shrunken or stretched—and appreciate the beauty and versatility that shrinkage brings to natural hair care journeys.

I agree. Shrinkage doesn’t bother me. And I don’t invest in elongation products. I embrace my hair in all of its phases. As long as it’s healthy, I’m happy.
