Having followed the development of the Trans450 project closely, I am impressed by the comprehensive approach the administration is taking to enhance public transportation in the capital. The commitment to operate the system in 27 months demonstrates strong political will and community engagement. What caught my attention is the focus on modernizing infrastructure like the Miraflores tunnel, which was once neglected but now has been cleaned, painted, and appropriately illuminated to support the new transit operation. This not only improves the user experience but also increases safety for commuters. Moreover, transitioning to an electronic fare collection system is a game changer. It promises to eliminate cash handling, reducing delays and the risk of theft. This system also integrates internet connectivity and advanced technology, which will make the rides more secure and convenient. From personal experience using advanced bus systems in other cities, such developments can drastically improve daily commuting by making routes more reliable and comfortable. The planned 500 new transport units under a consortium will enhance service frequency and coverage. Community involvement remains key to the project's success, and hearing Mayor Zelaya’s promise to make this a reality reassures that diligent follow-up on planning adjustments, such as those made to the preliminary studies, has been prioritized. I look forward to seeing how this initiative transforms urban mobility and reflects in reduced congestion and pollution in the capital.
