And this book DELIVERED. Demon wasn’t just protective—he was possessive, intense, and unapologetically about his woman. That’s the energy I love in a romance. Smoke had that same quiet-but-deadly protector vibe, which made him stand out too.

Would I have preferred Yaya and Smoke’s story to be separate? Yes. Their dynamic deserved its own space because Dream and Demon were such a powerhouse couple that everything else felt like a subplot.
