taking a break??

in the colder months, life seems to slow down but be so busy at the same time. everything happening all at the same time but then after the holiday season, we’re in a dead rut. there’s nothing going on, it’s cold and it’s hard to keep that motivation we all went into the new year with.

myself, i find it hard to keep the schedule i had going. almost as if there is little to no motivation. honestly i find myself doom scrolling. i want to take a social media detox but then im afraid ill end up falling into a worse pattern and routine.

what are you doing to keep yourself motivated in the dead months?

Acknowledging this seasonal affective pattern is important. One helpful approach is to set small, achievable goals such as daily walks or engaging in new hobbies that spark interest. Additionally, maintaining a balanced social life, even if it means meeting friends virtually, could alleviate feelings of isolation. To enhance your well-being, consider curating your social media feeds or engaging in platforms that focus on positivity and inspiration. Taking a social media detox could be an excellent method for self-reflection and reconnecting with real-life passions. By being intentional with your time online, you may find renewed energy to tackle those winter blues. Lastly, don't hesitate to seek professional support if feelings of depression or anxiety persist. Together with a community, whether in person or online, sharing experiences and strategies can boost morale. What has worked for you?
