What a fair ballot. This is my 9th time trying BTO!!!!

I am a first timer!!!!!!

First try : Ang Mio Kio (no queue number) Bto

Second try : Serangoon North (no queue number) bto

Third try : Bishan (no queue number) bto

Forth try : Punggol (excess queue number) bto

fifth try : Ang Mio Kio (no queue number) bto

Sixth try : Kallang/Whampoa (no queue number

Seventh : Punggol (no queue number) Sbf

Eighth try : Yishun (excess queue number) bto

Ninth try : Tampines (no queue number) bto (I still applicable for Family Care Scheme)

Can anyone tell me WHY???

... Read moreHaving attempted BTO applications nine times myself, I truly empathize with the frustration of receiving a queue number that exceeds flat supply. The balloting process by HDB is designed to be fair, yet factors like high demand in popular estates, quota allocations, and priority schemes influence one's chances. For example, flats in estates like Tampines and Punggol often see overwhelming demand leading to oversubscribed queues. Even with family care or other priority schemes, the competition can be fierce. It's important to stay informed about upcoming sales launches via the HDB Flat Portal and consider alternative options. One practical tip is to broaden your location preferences to lower-demand estates, where queue numbers might be more favorable. Also, exploring resale flats through HDB’s verified Resale Flat Listing service can be a viable alternative if waiting times are long. I have found that regularly checking HDB announcements and engaging with community forums helps in understanding trends and maximizing chances. Remember that while the initial unsuccessful attempts are discouraging, persistence combined with smart strategies can eventually lead to success in securing a flat suitable for your needs.
