... Read moreIn my personal experience, understanding healing as a circular journey rather than a linear one has been transformative. Often, we expect progress to be straightforward, moving from point A to B without looking back. However, healing frequently requires us to revisit past experiences, emotions, or places, but through the lens of our growth and new insights. For example, returning to familiar environments that once triggered difficult feelings can now feel different because of our changed mindset. This process enables us to confront old wounds with more compassion and clarity. I've found that each visit to these 'old places' — whether physical or emotional — offers a unique opportunity to deepen my healing and understanding. This cyclical approach to healing reminds me to be patient with myself and to appreciate that progress might involve revisiting moments we thought we had moved past. Ultimately, healing becomes a dynamic, ongoing process where growth accumulates in circles rather than straight lines, enriching our journey towards wholeness and self-acceptance.
