My 2025 Bookshelf ✨🍋📚
I set my goal HIGH this year. Between audio books and reading, do you think my 60 book goal is realistic? I’ll be posting updates monthly 📖#booktok #tbr #bookshelf #2025 #goals
Setting reading goals for the new year is one of my favorite traditions, and for 2025, I've decided to go big! My goal is to read 60 books, a mix of physical reads and audiobooks. I know it sounds like a lot, but I've got a plan, and I'm using an awesome visual tool to keep me motivated: my 2025 TBR Bookshelf tracker. This tracker is more than just a list; it’s a visual representation of my progress. Each time I finish a book, I get to color in one of the little book outlines on my tracker's shelves. There are even separate sections for ‘read’ and ‘audio’ books, which helps me see how I’m balancing my different formats. Seeing those shelves fill up, maybe even adding some cute little plants to them as a reward, makes the journey so much more satisfying. For me, having a clear 'GOAL: 60' written right on top keeps me focused and excited. So, how do I plan to tackle such an ambitious goal? Here are a few tips I’m putting into practice that might help you too: Integrate Audiobooks: This is a game-changer! I listen to audiobooks during my commute, while doing chores, or even during my morning walk. It allows me to 'read' even when my eyes are busy. It’s amazing how quickly those hours add up. Set Aside Dedicated Reading Time: Whether it’s 20 minutes before bed or an hour on a lazy Sunday afternoon, having a consistent slot helps build the habit. I also try to pick up my book instead of scrolling through social media when I have a few spare minutes. Don't Be Afraid to DNF (Did Not Finish): Life is too short to read books you’re not enjoying. If a book isn't grabbing me after a few chapters, I move on. This ensures I’m always excited about what I’m reading next and don’t get stuck in a reading slump. Mix Up Genres and Lengths: I find that switching between a heavy fantasy novel and a quick, light romance or a compelling non-fiction book keeps my reading fresh. Sometimes, reading a few shorter books helps build momentum and makes hitting that 60-book goal feel more achievable. Utilize Your Local Library: Libraries are a fantastic resource for discovering new books without breaking the bank. Plus, many offer digital audiobook and e-book services, making it super convenient. It’s a great way to explore different authors and genres. I’m really looking forward to sharing my monthly updates with you all. It’s inspiring to see how others are doing with their reading goals too. If you're setting your own reading challenge for 2025, I'd love to hear about it!
