Lush “Don’t Look At Me” face mask sample

I’m not huge into face masks but I gotta say I was a fan of this one! Not sure if it was the fun blue color or the sugar scrub but I loved it!

... Read moreOkay, so like many of you, I've seen all the hype around Lush's fresh face masks. Honestly, I'm usually a bit skeptical – another mask, another promise, right? But when I got my hands on a sample of the 'Don't Look At Me' blue face mask, I knew I had to give it a proper go. And let me tell you, it was an experience! First off, the color is just as vibrant and enticing as it looks in all the photos you see, like the one where I took that silly mirror selfie with my antennae headband! It's a gorgeous bright blue, and the texture is really interesting – thick but spreadable, with those lovely little sugar scrub particles. Applying it felt like a mini spa treatment. I made sure my face was clean and dry, then smoothed a generous layer all over, avoiding my eyes. It felt cool and refreshing immediately. Now, for the big question: 'how often can you use' this amazing blue face mask? Lush generally recommends using their fresh face masks 2-3 times a week, and I found that to be a pretty good guideline for my skin. Since it contains exfoliating ground almonds and brightening lemon juice, it's potent. Using it more frequently might be too much for sensitive skin, potentially leading to irritation. For me, 2 times a week was perfect to keep my skin feeling fresh and looking radiant without overdoing it. Listen to your skin – if it feels tight or sensitive, ease back on the frequency. It's all about finding that sweet spot for your skincare routine, so you can achieve that 'Nice' glowing skin feeling without any downsides. What makes this mask so special? It's packed with ingredients like fresh lemon juice for brightening, kaolin clay to absorb excess oil, and those ground almonds for a gentle exfoliation. The organic silken tofu and grapefruit oil also contribute to a soft, hydrated feel after rinsing. It felt like it was really doing something, not just sitting on my skin. After about 10-15 minutes (just enough time to scroll through Lemon8!), it started to dry slightly, but never felt uncomfortably tight. Rinsing it off was actually part of the fun, thanks to the sugar scrub! As I gently massaged it off with warm water, those sugar particles provided a lovely, mild exfoliation, leaving my skin feeling incredibly smooth and soft. Seriously, my skin felt so clean and looked noticeably brighter, almost glowing. It perfectly prepped my skin for the rest of my usual skincare routine, making my serums and moisturizers absorb even better. If you're looking to add a vibrant, effective, and fun fresh face mask to your collection, especially one that tackles dullness and gently exfoliates, the Lush 'Don't Look At Me' is a definite winner in my book. It turned a face mask skeptic into a fan!
