How stress made me lose 20 pounds In 1 month
I want to start off by saying this was un-intentional weight loss. Earlier this year my mental health took a very big plunge. I truly felt like I was at rock bottom. I wasn’t sleeping. I was bed rotting for days on end. I would have to force myself to eat and shower. I was only eating once a day and they weren’t full meals either. This was all due to me being stressed out about various factors including my job, friends and being away from home in a different country all by myself. I’m currently in the process of trying to gain back the weight I lost. I went from 122 to 104 it’s not my proudest moment but the good thing about hitting rock bottom is that you have no where but up to go. #strugglingwithweightloss #embracevulnerability #stressrelief #bodycare
Stress can significantly affect your weight, often leading to unexpected weight loss like I experienced. Beyond personal stories, studies show that stress hormones like cortisol can suppress appetite or lead to unhealthy eating behaviors. It’s essential to address mental well-being not only for emotional health but also for maintaining a stable weight. Engaging in stress-relief practices, such as meditation, exercise, or seeking professional help, can help restore your balance and encourage a healthier lifestyle. Eating nutritious meals, even in small portions, can aid recovery from stress-induced weight loss, ensuring your body receives essential nutrients. Moreover, staying connected with friends and family can provide the emotional support necessary to cope with stressors effectively. Remember, you are not alone in this journey, and embracing vulnerability is a strength that can lead to healing and resilience.
