💧 A Day I’ll Never Forget✨ Our Baptism Story ✨
🕊️ One week ago…
Olivia and I took one of the biggest steps in our faith journey — we were baptized together at Life.Church. 💖
And the most beautiful part? I had the privilege of baptizing my daughter myself. 🥹
💦 The Moment
As she came up out of the water, I could feel God’s presence all around us. It was emotional, powerful, and so full of love. Seeing her make the choice to follow Jesus for herself was one of the proudest moments of my life. 🙏
❤️ A Week Later
It’s been a week, and my heart is still overflowing. I keep replaying that moment and thanking God for His grace, His timing, and His goodness.
This is just the beginning of something new — for both of us. ✨

It's incredible how one moment can hold so much profound meaning, isn't it? My own baptism, and more recently baptizing my daughter, truly underscored for me why this sacred act is so central to our faith journey. For many, baptism isn't just a ritual; it's a powerful public declaration of faith, a symbolic cleansing, and a commitment to follow Jesus. It signifies dying to an old way of life and being reborn into a new one, walking in His light. When you witness or experience a baptism, whether it's full immersion or another form, there's an undeniable spiritual weight to it. It’s a step of obedience, often following a personal decision to accept Christ. The feeling of coming up out of the water, for me, was like shedding everything old and embracing a fresh start, filled with hope and divine purpose. It’s a moment where you feel deeply connected to God and to the wider Christian community. I've learned that while the core meaning of baptism—a commitment to Christ—remains, different denominations approach the practice in beautiful and unique ways. For instance, some traditions practice infant baptism, signifying God's grace and covenant with families, while others, like my own experience at Life.Church, emphasize believer's baptism for those who can make a conscious decision. Even within Christianity, there are variations, and each holds deep spiritual significance for those who participate. It’s fascinating how diverse expressions of faith can still lead to the same powerful spiritual intention. I know that faiths like the LDS (Latter-day Saint) community also place great importance on baptism, seeing it as an essential ordinance for salvation and a covenant with God, often performed for those around eight years old or older. While my own experience wasn't LDS, I deeply respect the personal significance this sacred rite holds for their members. Each tradition truly cherishes this step for its members. Beyond the initial moment, the impact of baptism continues to resonate. It's a foundational memory that strengthens your resolve during difficult times and reminds you of the grace you've received. It's also about becoming part of a spiritual family, a community that supports and encourages you in your walk of faith. Knowing that my daughter and I shared this bond, this public declaration, makes our faith journey even more special. It’s a beautiful reminder that our spiritual path is ongoing, filled with continuous growth and God's unending love. This step felt like truly embracing the call to live a life devoted to Him, and it’s a blessing I'll forever cherish.
Your face when you resurfaced 🥺 You’ve inspired me to “take the plunge” myself. God bless. Christ is King.
