I remember a time when I felt so lost, just like the song says, 'I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see.' That powerful message of redemption and hope is timeless, and I wanted to bring it to a new generation through a fresh sound. My goal with this remix wasn't just to put a beat behind a classic, but to truly honor the depth of its message while making it accessible to those who might connect more with contemporary worship music. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to convey that feeling of 'grace so amazing, pure and sweet' through melody and arrangement. I experimented with different rhythms and harmonies, trying to create something that feels both uplifting and deeply reverent. It's about letting that profound truth, 'It reached down and rescued me,' truly sink in when you listen. I believe music has an incredible way of touching our souls and deepening our connection to faith. When I sing 'Chains are gone, my heart is free,' it’s not just words; it’s a living testament to what I've experienced. And when I declare, 'All my praise belongs to Thee,' it’s a recognition of the source of that freedom. This remix is my personal offering, a way to express that gratitude and hopefully inspire others to reflect on the grace in their own lives.
