Barnes and noble book haul
122 dollars later 🥲🥲🥲
You guys, I just had the most amazing Barnes & Noble book haul, and my wallet is feeling it! I walked out of there $122 poorer, but so much richer in potential knowledge. Seriously, those trips always turn into an adventure, right? My main goal for this haul was to dive deep into the world of finance, specifically the stock market and investing. I've been wanting to understand how it all works, so I grabbed a few fantastic '101' series books that looked perfect for beginners. First up is 'Stock Market 101' by Michele Cagan, CPA. I’ve heard great things about her ability to break down complex topics, and this book promises to be an essential guide. I’m really hoping it gives me a solid foundation, especially since I'm looking for clear explanations on everything from basic concepts to understanding market trends. For anyone else out there curious about getting started, these '101' books are exactly what you need to grasp the fundamentals without feeling overwhelmed. Think of them as your friendly introduction to chapter one and beyond! Right alongside it, I picked up 'Investing 101,' also by Michele Cagan, CPA. This one focuses on building a profitable portfolio, which is the next logical step after understanding the stock market basics. I'm excited to learn about different investment strategies and how to make my money work smarter for me. And because I'm also intrigued by faster-paced opportunities, I snagged 'Day Trading 101' by David Borman. It's advertised as an essential primer in modern day trading, and I'm really curious to see if it's something I could explore down the line. These trading books from Barnes & Noble are a goldmine if you’re looking to get into the financial markets. But it wasn't all about finance! I also made sure to grab a couple of books for personal growth. 'The Anti-Anxiety Notebook' immediately caught my eye. It uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe thoughts and reset your mindset, which sounds incredibly useful for daily well-being. And then there's 'The Creative Act: A Way of Being' by Rick Rubin. I've heard so much buzz about this book and its unique perspective on creativity and life. I'm really looking forward to getting inspired and finding new approaches to my own creative endeavors. And, of course, no Barnes & Noble trip is complete without a few fun extras! I found these super cool national park stickers – one each for Grand Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone, and Arches. They were $2.99 each, and they’re going to look amazing on my water bottle or laptop. It’s those little finds that make the trip extra special, right? Overall, I'm thrilled with my haul. Yes, the price tag was $122, but I truly believe these books are an investment in myself and my future learning. I can't wait to start reading and hopefully gain some valuable insights from Michele Cagan, David Borman, and Rick Rubin. If you're looking for practical guides on finance, self-improvement, or just some creative inspiration, definitely check out what Barnes & Noble has to offer!
