I started thinking about the option of a 25-year-old house.
Don't just focus on new buildings, broaden your horizons and search for properties.
It was a way of thinking that I didn't have before.
If there is a property you are interested in, actually go to the site.
Walk around the city and see the surroundings.
While looking for such a house, I visited an area.
It was close to the station and seemed to have no inconvenience in life.
The residential area was surprisingly calm and I got the impression that it seemed easy to live.
Looking at the conditions alone, there were popular restaurants just one stop from the terminal station, so it was a candidate place.
However, as I walked around the city, one thought gradually grew in me.
Compared to the cities I've seen so far, I don't see anything bad.
But strangely, my heart did not move.
As I walked, I was thinking about the cities I had visited.
What are you looking for in your home?
Is it a price?
Is it the size?
Is it a condition for new construction?
The more I thought about it, the more I felt like the answer was somewhere else.
What I wanted to live in was that town after all. This is the area I visited in "Episode 12: Two minutes from the station, a land where the sun does not shine in winter."
I wasn't born and raised, and I didn't live long.
Still, the center of Osaka city had a charm that no other city had.

大阪市内中心部でのマイホーム探しは、新築だけにこだわらず、中古住宅や建て替え可能な物件も選択肢に入れることが重要だと感じました。私自身も築25年以上の中古住宅に目を向けるようになり、視野が広がりました。新築の魅力はもちろん捨てがたいのですが、その分価格が高めで土地も限られてしまうため、実際には中古物件の中からリノベーションで自分好みの住まいを形作る方法にも可能性を感じています。 実際に気になる物件を自分の足で訪れ、駅からの距離や周辺環境を肌で感じながら見学することはとても大切です。地元の人の様子や街の雰囲気は写真ではわからず、何度も歩いてみることでそのエリアの良し悪しが見えてきます。私が訪れた駅近の住宅街は、生活の便や飲食店の充実度など条件は満たしていたものの、なぜか心が動かなかった経験があります。これは単なるスペックや利便性ではなく、自分らしく暮らせる街の空気感や居心地の良さが求める本質なのだと感じました。 また、家探しでは価格や広さ、新築か中古かだけではなく、自分がそこでどんな生活を送りたいかというイメージも大事です。私の場合、「第12話」で訪れた冬に陽が当たりにくいエリアに再度惹かれ始め、その街に根ざした暮らしが自分の理想に近いと気づきました。大阪市内中心部には育った土地ではないながら、不思議と他にはない魅力や安心感があり、住み心地を考えるとやはりこうした街が候補に残るのだと思います。 家づくりは単なる物件購入ではなく、自分の人生や暮らし方をもう一度見つめ直す機会になるものです。私のように50代からでも遅くなく、人生の新たな一歩として住まいづくりを楽しんでほしいと思います。今後も実際の様子や感じたことを継続して紹介し、同じような年齢層や家探し中の方の参考になれば幸いです。
