Trust people to be who they are.Always trust every

3/14 Edited to

... Read moreIn my experience, trying to expect others to change who they fundamentally are only leads to frustration and unnecessary emotional drain. Trusting people to be themselves isn't about naivety; it's about recognizing the reality that everyone has their own journey, strengths, and flaws. When we accept this, life becomes simpler and more peaceful. It’s also important to develop discernment, which you can think of as a wise filter to understand when someone’s behavior aligns with their true character. This doesn’t mean judging harshly; rather, it means acknowledging the truth in what people show us and reacting with clarity instead of wishful thinking. For example, I used to invest a lot of energy trying to change friends or coworkers, hoping they would act the way I wanted. Over time, I learned that accepting them as they were allowed me to conserve my energy and focus on relationships that were genuinely meaningful and nourishing. Moving forward with wisdom includes setting healthy boundaries and surrounding yourself with people whose values resonate with yours. This approach fosters peace of mind and prevents the exhaustion that comes from continual compromise. Ultimately, trusting people to be who they are is a practice of self-respect and respect for others. It encourages authentic connections, reduces conflicts, and allows you to move through your social and personal interactions with grace and confidence.
