... Read moreDoing nails at home can be a fun and rewarding experience. In this article, I detail my second attempt at acrylic nails, using techniques learned from various online resources. This not only showcases my progress but also offers a glimpse into the learning curve many face when starting their nail journey. When preparing your acrylic nails, the importance of proper application and shaping cannot be overstated. I soaked, scrubbed, and prepped my nails to ensure they were ready for the acrylic application. Many beginners often make the mistake of rushing through this initial step, which can lead to unsatisfactory results. I focused particularly on building and shaping my nails effectively, taking inspiration from online videos designed for beginners. These resources proved invaluable in helping me improve my technique. As I applied the acrylics, I learned the significance of patience, as rushing could lead to errors in shaping. My nails took roughly three hours to complete, and while I wasn’t fully satisfied with the first trial, I plan to keep improving and mastering my skills. In terms of nail inspirations, I leveraged hashtags such as #doingmynails and #acrylicnailinspo to gather ideas for designs. I also explored color combinations that flatter various skin tones, particularly for darker skin tones, using the hashtag #pinknailsfordarkskin. Ultimately, each attempt brings me one step closer to perfecting my technique and discovering my signature style.
