192 stops 291 locations 391 packages
See all of you Friday
Hey everyone! It's me, Gregory Velasquez, and I wanted to share a deeper look into what a typical (or perhaps, not-so-typical!) day is like as an Amazon delivery driver. You might have seen some of my stats – those impressive numbers like 192 stops, 291 locations, and delivering 391 packages in a single day. Those aren't just figures; they represent a whirlwind of activity, focus, and dedication, and honestly, a lot of passion for what I do. Every morning starts bright and early. I arrive at the station, ready to face the day's challenge. Seeing the overview of my route on the phone screen – knowing I have four carts full of packages, often including 19 bags and sometimes 36 overflow items – really sets the tone. It’s a puzzle, fitting everything into the van efficiently for quick access later. I remember one route, STG.J07.1 CX45, where I had 19 bags and 36 overflow packages, totaling 392 items! It's a logistical dance from the moment I start loading up. Then, it’s out on the road. Navigating through different neighborhoods, finding the right addresses, and making sure each of those 391 packages gets to its rightful owner. It's not always smooth sailing; sometimes, I get those 'Sorry, your packages aren't quite ready yet' messages, which can throw off the schedule. But that’s part of the job – adapting and pushing through. I truly believe in the mantra, "Don't rush the process, good things take time," especially when you're trying to deliver with care and efficiency. What keeps me going? The satisfaction of a job well done, for sure. Seeing my scorecard report for Week 05, showing a "Fantastic" overall tier and 1300 packages delivered in that week, really motivates me. And honestly, the customer feedback means the world. Getting those 'Good Morning, Gregory' messages with a snowman graphic and seeing I received 12 compliments from customers last week? That’s what makes all the hard work worth it. It’s a reminder that even in a fast-paced job, personal connection and service matter. Yes, there are moments of stress, like when I received that text about a speeding violation – safety is always paramount, and I learn from every feedback to ensure I'm always driving responsibly. But my dedication to consistent, high-quality delivery always shines through, keeping my speeding and distractions at 0.0 on the scorecard. So, when you see those numbers – 192 stops, 291 locations, 391 packages – know that there's a real person behind them, doing their best to bring smiles and convenience to your doorstep. It’s a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. See all of you Friday, ready for another day of deliveries!
