Tengah BTO makeover
Having recently completed a Japandi minimalist makeover in my Tengah BTO flat, I can confidently share how this design style transformed my living space into a serene and functional home. Japandi design, known for its blend of Japanese simplicity and Scandinavian coziness, emphasizes clean lines, natural materials, and muted colors. Before the makeover, my flat felt cluttered and lacked warmth. By adopting a Japandi approach, I introduced wooden textures and soft neutral tones that reflected the calming environment often associated with Parc Flora Tengah. Using multi-functional furniture helped maximize space without compromising on aesthetics, essential for BTO units where space is limited. One key tip is to focus on quality over quantity—opt for a few well-crafted pieces rather than overcrowding rooms. Incorporate natural plants and soft textiles to add life and comfort. Lighting also plays a significant role in setting the mood; I chose warm, diffused lights to enhance the minimalist theme. This style perfectly suits Tengah residents wanting to create a peaceful retreat amidst urban living. Whether you're refreshing a new BTO or updating an older unit, Japandi minimalism offers a timeless, easy-to-maintain solution that beautifully complements Tengah's greenery and modern vibe.
