Phasmophobia Tips

When I first ever played phasmophobia it actually scared me to much. I do still get a little nervous during hunts but it’s not the same as when I first ever played it. I remember screaming and every investigation was incredibly hard. Now that I’ve played the game a bit more as long as I play on the house map I can do pretty good in guessing the ghost but any other bigger map I’m such a terrible noob. Give me your best phasmophobia tips!

... Read moreI totally get how you feel about Phasmophobia! Those first few hunts can be absolutely terrifying, right? I remember those 'screaming and every investigation incredibly hard' days myself. But don't worry, with a few solid strategies, you'll go from a 'terrible noob' on bigger maps to a confident ghost hunter. Let me share some of my go-to tips that helped me conquer my fear and finally start enjoying the game, even with the scariest ghosts lurking in a dark hallway, much like those intense moments you might see on screens. How to Survive Hunts in Phasmophobia Surviving a hunt is all about preparation and knowing your environment. First off, always have a hiding spot in mind, especially on larger maps. Closets, lockers, or even just breaking line of sight behind furniture can work. During a hunt, your flashlight will flicker erratically, and the ghost will be actively looking for you. Crucially, do not speak in voice chat – the ghost can hear you, even if you’re hiding! Crouch and move silently to minimize your sound signature. If you have smudge sticks, they are your absolute best friend! Lighting a smudge stick when the ghost is nearby will stun it for a few seconds, giving you precious time to escape or find a new hiding spot. Remember to carry a lighter if you're bringing smudges. Knowing when a hunt is about to begin is also key. Pay attention to flickering lights, doors slamming shut, and your equipment acting up. Your Spirit Box might start buzzing with static, or your EMF Reader might spike to level 5, signaling an imminent hunt. Phasmophobia Sanity Monitor & Management Sanity is crucial in Phasmophobia, as it directly impacts how often ghosts can hunt. The lower your average sanity, the higher the chance of a hunt. You can monitor your team's sanity on the truck's monitor, which is vital intel, especially if you're dealing with sanity-draining ghosts. To effectively manage sanity, try to avoid staying in the dark for too long; keeping lights on is always better if possible! Carrying lit candles can slow sanity drain while you're in dark areas. Sanity pills are your lifesaver – grab them from the truck and use them when your sanity drops below 50% or before you head into a known ghost room for an extended period. Some ghosts, like the Banshee, target specific players' sanity, making individual awareness even more important. Learning how to read the sanity monitor is like having a cheat sheet to successful investigations. Phasmophobia Moroi Hunt & Specific Ghost Strategies Dealing with specific ghosts, like the Moroi, requires unique tactics. The Moroi is particularly nasty because it constantly drains your sanity faster the further you are from it, and also applies a curse that makes you more vulnerable to hunts. If you suspect a Moroi, prioritize finding the ghost room quickly and using sanity pills frequently. The key evidence for a Moroi is Spirit Box, Cursed Possessions (unique interactions like the Ouija Board), and Freezing Temps. What makes them unique during a hunt is that they are faster when you are farther away from them and slower when you are closer. This is counter-intuitive to most ghosts, so if you notice a ghost speeding up as you try to run away, it might just be a Moroi! Using a parabolic mic can help locate the Moroi's special ability sound to confirm its presence. Remember, hiding and smudging are always viable options, but with a Moroi, keeping your sanity high is paramount, as its hunts can be relentless. Don't be afraid to retreat to the truck for a sanity boost if things get too intense. Even the 'gods' of Phasmophobia sometimes need a breather! It takes time to get comfortable, but with these strategies, you'll transform those scary moments into thrilling encounters. Keep practicing, and don't forget to share your own discoveries!
