IM DELETING TIKTOK
Okay so i can’t be the only one who’s tiktok has just been FULL of drama recently, like every where i turn there’s a 17 part series about someone doing something terrible! I do think people need to be called out but omg there’s so much!
I try my hardest to get off that side of tiktok but it’s never ending.
THEN i was just spending too much time on it, like id wake up and not get out of bed for 3 hours !!! like yeah it’s my fault but that’s why i deleted it lol
My bf also deleted it so we could do a cleanse of tiktok

So, I finally reached my breaking point and had that 'IM DELETING TIKTOK' moment, just like I mentioned in my original post. It wasn't an easy decision, especially when it felt like everyone else was still glued to their screens. But honestly, the constant drama and endless scrolling were really starting to take a toll on my mental well-being. I wasn't just observing the drama; sometimes, I felt emotionally invested or drained by it, and that's not healthy. Before I deleted it, my feed had become a never-ending cycle of negativity. It wasn't just the occasional viral drama; it was constant call-out culture, people arguing in comments, and a general sense of unease. I found myself comparing my life to perfectly curated videos, feeling inadequate, or just getting bogged down by the sheer volume of information and opinions. This emotional drain was a huge reason why I felt the need for a digital detox. The fear of missing out (FOMO) was real, but ironically, I was missing out on my own life by being glued to the app. Beyond the mental load, the time commitment was insane. I'd pick up my phone for 'just a minute' and suddenly an hour had flown by. Waking up and spending three hours in bed, scrolling, became a regular occurrence. This wasn't just about lost time; it was about lost productivity, missed opportunities to do things I actually enjoyed, and even disrupted sleep patterns. My brain was constantly overstimulated, making it hard to focus on work or even relax properly. It became clear that this habit was negatively impacting my daily life, my relationships, and my overall happiness. Since taking the plunge and deleting TikTok, both my boyfriend and I have noticed some incredible changes. The most significant one for me has been a noticeable reduction in anxiety. That constant feeling of needing to check notifications or keep up with trends has vanished. Instead, I'm spending more time reading, going for walks, and engaging in real-life conversations with friends and family without the constant urge to check my phone. I've rediscovered old hobbies like painting and even started new ones with the extra time I have. My sleep has improved dramatically – no more late-night scrolling keeping my brain wired. It feels like my mental space has been decluttered, allowing me to think more clearly, be more present in the moment, and genuinely feel more at peace. It truly has been a mental health cleanse, and I wholeheartedly recommend anyone feeling similar pressures to consider it. It's not about being anti-social media entirely, but about being mindful of how it impacts you. If you're looking for reasons to delete TikTok or just curious about the benefits of a digital break, I hope my experience can offer some insight. For anyone considering it, start small – set screen time limits, unfollow accounts that don't serve you, and gradually reduce your usage. You might be surprised by how much lighter you feel. I'm curious, what are your thoughts? Have you ever thought about deleting a social media app for your mental health?

I deleted it too it’s not good for my mental health I think it’s some of the content creators and a lot of the comments but I also feel that most of the people on tiktok are leftist and kind of weird and most people who are very liberal like are linked to more mental health illnesses so it kind of makes y it’s so toxic
