Many times we speak, we hope that people will listen to us attentively, but often when we listen to others, we are full of ideas, hurry to explain or ignore what they are communicating.
Indeed, to listen politely is to honor others.
Because it says, "What you say is valuable, and you as a speaker are meaningful."
📖 The Bible warns that
"Be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger" (James 1: 19).
When we listen politely, we will
More understand the feelings of others.
Reduce conflicts caused by misunderstandings.
Give God the opportunity to use us as a tool of comfort and encouragement.
