🔎 We can do many good deeds, but is the heart far from God?
Many attend rituals, keep rules, and do things that seem good to others' eyes, but deep in their hearts, those goodness may stem from unholy motives, such as the need for acceptance, fear of punishment, or hope to exchange salvation.
Outside religions can create the "image of good," but God looks deeper than that. He looks at the heart.
The key question is therefore not just whether
"Are We Doing Good?"
But is
"Do we really love God?"
For in the sight of God, true goodness does not begin with works, but with love in the heart. ❤️

Jesus said,
"[37] Jesus answered him," Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. "[38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] The second is the same:" Love your neighbor as yourself. "[40] The law and the prophecy are based on these two commandments."

This happened when religious leaders asked Jesus which commandment was the most important; they were familiar with many rules, but Jesus brought them back to the essence of the commandment.
All the commandments can be summed up in one word, love.
The first four verses of the Ten Commandments teach us to love God.
The latter six verses teach us to love our fellow men.
So, keeping the true commandments is not cold following the law, but the fruit of a heart that loves God.

"[12] This is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandment of God and the faith of Jesus."
God's people in the latter days did not just keep the commandments, but they did so; for they loved God and believed in Jesus. ✝️
✨ The character of God.
The issue of love reveals the most important characteristics of God.
The Bible clearly declares that
"God is love."
God's love is not just a feeling, but a principle of the universe.
He created the world with love.
He gave the commandments with love.
And redeemed man through the sacrifice of Christ with love.
So God's commandments are not burdensome, but are manifestations of his nature.
When humans love God, we begin to reflect His nature through our lives.
🫀 humans can do good for many reasons.
Some people do good for fame.
Some people do good because of fear of punishment.
Some people do well to hope for rewards.
But these motivations are still "ourselves" centered.
Such goodness may look good on the outside, but it doesn't change the heart.
Jesus taught that true righteousness must begin from within. The heart of man must be renewed.
When the Holy Spirit works in our hearts, God's love will be poured out into our hearts, and goodness will become the natural fruit of a new life.
This is the experience of rebirth.
Goodness is therefore not what we seek to create ourselves, but the fruit of Christ living in our lives.

Ellen G.White explains that God's love is the force that draws human hearts back to Him.

When men see the love of Christ at the cross, the heart is changed, and obedience to the commandments is by nature.
She emphasized that true obedience is not fear, but love.
So love of God is the driving force of all Saints' lives.
🌍 Application to Current Saint Life
In the latter days, the world was full of religions that emphasized external rituals, but God was looking for a population with a new heart.
Three angels in the book of Revelation call men to return and worship the Creator, and live according to His commandments.
But keeping the commandments in the last days is not just a matter of rules.
But to show love to the God who redeemed us.
When the heart is full of love for Christ
We'll be honest.
We will love our fellow men.
We will lead a pure life.
And our lives will become witnesses to God's grace in a gloomy world.
🙏 tangible decision today.
If today God asks the same question that Jesus asked Peter,
"Do you love me?"
Not just
"Are you doing well?"
But...
"Has your heart given me yet?"
If we want to be part of God's population in the last days, we must let Christ change our hearts.
May today be the day we make another decision.
Give all my heart to Christ.
And let His love be the driving force of our lives.

Father.
deepen your love to me.
Change my heart to truly love you.
May the goodness of my life come from love, not just duty.
Make me part of the people who keep your commandments, and have faith in Jesus.
