Spiritual adults don't ask that.

ในชีวิตประจำวัน เรามักจะคิดว่าวัยผู้ใหญ่หมายถึงคนที่มีอายุมากขึ้น แต่จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว ผมได้เรียนรู้ว่าการเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่แท้จริงนั้นหมายถึงการมีวุฒิภาวะทางใจที่เข้มแข็งและมั่นคงมากกว่า ในการเดินทางกับความเชื่อ ผมพบว่าความอดทนและความรักเป็นสิ่งสำคัญอย่างยิ่งที่ช่วยให้เราเติบโตได้อย่างแท้จริง ไม่ใช่แค่การผ่านช่วงเวลาหรืออายุที่มากขึ้นเท่านั้น การที่เราสามารถให้อภัยผู้อื่น ยืนหยัดในความถูกต้องเมื่อเผชิญแรงกดดัน รวมถึงความสามารถในการมอบพระพรให้กับผู้อื่นแม้ตัวเองยังเผชิญความลำบาก ล้วนเป็นเครื่องวัดวุฒิภาวะทางใจที่แท้จริง ผมเคยประสบกับสถานการณ์ที่ทำให้ต้องเลือกแล้วเลือกอีกว่าจะทำสิ่งไหนดีระหว่างความง่ายและความถูกต้อง ความเชื่อได้ช่วยให้ผมมองเห็นว่าการตัดสินใจทุกครั้งไม่ใช่เพียงแค่สิ่งที่ดีที่สุดสำหรับตัวเราเองเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นวิธีการแสดงออกถึงพระลักษณะของพระคริสต์ผ่านการกระทำและความรักต่อผู้อื่นด้วย ข้อพระคัมภีร์ที่กล่าวไว้ใน 2 เปโตร 3:18 "จงเติบโตในพระคุณและในความรู้จักพระเยซูคริสต์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า" เป็นคำเตือนให้เราไม่หยุดนิ่งกับการเติบโตทางจิตวิญญาณ ผมพบว่าเมื่อนำบทเรียนนี้มาปรับใช้ในชีวิต การพัฒนาความคิด ความรู้สึก และการกระทำในแต่ละวันก็มีความหมายมากขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้ชัด สุดท้ายนี้ การเป็นผู้ใหญ่ตามพระวจนะ ไม่ได้หมายความว่าต้องสมบูรณ์แบบ แต่หมายถึงความสามารถในการรับรู้ข้อผิดพลาด เรียนรู้จากมัน และตระหนักถึงการเดินหน้าเพื่อเติบโตขึ้นในทุกวัน การฝึกฝนตัวเองให้มีวุฒิภาวะทางใจที่ดีนั้น อาจไม่ง่ายแต่ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้คือชีวิตที่มีความหมายและสะท้อนพระลักษณะของพระเยซูคริสต์อย่างแท้จริง ผมขอเชิญชวนทุกคนให้ลองสะท้อนใจดูว่าในวันนี้ เรากำลังเติบโตในฐานะผู้ใหญ่ทางจิตใจและความเชื่อมากน้อยเพียงใด เพื่อชีวิตที่เปลี่ยนแปลงและเต็มไปด้วยพระคุณพระเจ้าอย่างแท้จริง
