banana horchata🍌 & agua de fresa cremosa/strawberry cremosa🍓

horchata~ I recommend some type of cloth strainer, if not then strain multiple times. toast one cup of rice in pan with 2 cinnamon sticks (optional) till golden brown, then soak in water with 3 cups water for atleast 4 hours, I left it overnight, then blend with 5 bananas, 1tbsp ground cinnamon ( + 1tsp if u didnt use the cinnamon sticks) , 1 can sweetend condensed milk, 1 can evaporated milk, I used 1 tbsp vanilla syrup drink mix since I dont have vinilla extract. once added to pitcher I added some milk to make it thinner, u can use milk or water.

strawberry cremosa- i used most of the 2lb container of strawberries, 4 cups water, 1 can sweetend condensed milk, 1 can evaporated milk, and once bleneded and added to pitcher i added 2 more cups water. #horchata #aguadefresacremosa #banana #aguafresca #EasyRecipe

It really helps to get that smooth texture by catching fine rice particles and any strawberry seeds, giving you a creamy, silky drink. For the banana horchata, toasting the rice with cinnamon sticks before soaking adds a wonderful depth of flavor that totally elevates the drink. You don't have to use cinnamon sticks if you don’t have them; ground cinnamon works just fine, but the sticks add a warm aroma that’s hard to beat. Letting the rice soak overnight is ideal—it allows the rice to soften and infuse the water, resulting in a more flavorful base for the horchata. In blending, ripe bananas add natural sweetness and creaminess, reducing the need for extra sweeteners. For the creamy component, I experimented with both evaporated and sweetened condensed milk as suggested, which gives a nice balance of richness without overpowering the delicate cinnamon and banana flavors. If you want a lighter version, swap the milk for almond or oat milk—both provide a slightly different but delicious twist. For the strawberry cremosa, using a generous amount of fresh strawberries creates a vibrant and refreshing drink. I liked adding extra water after blending to lighten the texture and make it more refreshing, especially on hot days. If you want to make it a little healthier, you can reduce the condensed milk or substitute it with a natural sweetener like honey or agave syrup. Overall, these drinks aren’t just tasty; they’re versatile and perfect for sharing during family gatherings or as a unique treat on a sunny day. Plus, homemade versions let you control the sweetness and customize ingredients to your liking. Give these recipes a try—you might just find your next favorite summer beverage!
